In light of the approaching summer, the wise and mighty Comedy Central Gods commanded a suite of ten on-air idents. And who were we to argue?
Our pencil team, intoxicated with creative freedom, set to work to create and animate these exquisitely imagined scenarios of the most surreal kind. *Sound On* for the montage of craziness, or enjoy them individually below.
Layering naked stock footage with sometimes disturbing frame by frame magic, each ident provides a little burst of the unexpected. All hail the power of bonkers!
For this project, our go-to software for rough pencil and clean-up stages was TVPaint. Not only did it enable us to quickly create obscure scenarios, but we were able to bring more fluidity to the movements.
