We helped the UK's longest-running online mobile phone retailer, mobiles.co.uk inject a distinctive brand personality, through the design, development and animation of a playful canine mascot 'Francis'.
We developed a character model sheet with a wide variety of poses to allow interaction with products, messages, or as a single focal point. It also helps maintain a consistent usage across other creative partners.
Central to the brand's strategy of attracting new customers, are three animated campaigns featuring Francis and friends.
The linear style and minimal colours allow the characters to be animated in a number of ways without losing the expressive personality - whether fluid frame-by-frame style (as used in the animated campaigns), or rigged AE loops (spot animations on the website and social channels).
